Accounting Clerk

About This Role

The Accounting Clerk will perform accounting, office administration, and controller duties for a construction company. This role suits a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills who is proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and has job costing experience.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and have job costing experience
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable
• Manage accounts receivable
• Enter and process payroll through QuickBooks (weekly)
• Assist with W-2 and 1099 tax preparation
• Run weekly and monthly finance reports
• Maintain and support all office-related responsibilities
• Maintain records, documentation, and files, particularly more complex or sensitive files
• Manage financial/accounting related tasks including bookkeeping
• Generate invoices and process payments for customers/vendors
• Send out notifications on overdue invoices including collection calls as needed
• Communicate with customers on payment-related matters (ACH, credit cards etc.)

Requirements

• QuickBooks Desktop experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Microsoft Office: 3 years (Required)
• QuickBooks: 3 years (Required)
