Accounting Clerk

About This Role

An Accounting Clerk who is ready to bring fresh ideas and grow alongside a dynamic team will support the accounting and operations team in Northern Michigan. This is an entry-level finance position responsible for ensuring accurate financial documentation.

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and perform data entry into accounting systems
• Process and review invoices, including accounts payable and receivable
• Receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks
• Reconcile accounts and report discrepancies
• Maintain financial filing systems and organize documents for audits
• Support Regional Controller with basic reports and reconciliations
• Use accounting software to process transactions
• Enter financial data and update ledgers
• Review invoices and receipts for accuracy
• File and organize financial documents
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Associate degree in accounting preferred
• Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
