About This Role
An Accounting professional is responsible for accurately recording and posting daily financial transactions, ensuring the integrity of financial data through regular reconciliations. This role involves preparing and verifying monthly financial statements and managing adjusting journals. It suits a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting standards and software.
Responsibilities
- Record and post daily financial transactions into the accounting system accurately and on time
- Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare and verify monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows
- Manage adjusting journals and post to the general ledger to ensure accurate accounting records
- Process and verify supporting documents such as invoices, receipts, and proof of payment
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies in accounting records
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits and compliance with financial regulations
- Communicate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and timely information collection
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in an Accounting or Financial Accounting & Reporting position
- Proficiency in financial accounting standards such as SAK (Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards) and PSAK (Statement of Financial Accounting Standards)
- Expertise in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
- In-depth understanding of account reconciliation, general ledger, and financial statement preparation
- Professional certification such as CPA or CA is preferred
- High accuracy, integrity, and responsibility in handling sensitive financial data
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in Indonesian and English
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to address complex accounting issues
