Accounting Assistant

About This Role

An Accounting Assistant manages accounts payable, ensures BIR compliance, and handles general accounting operations within a stable, quality-focused manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for building a solid foundation in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable processes including invoice verification, payment preparation, and vendor coordination
• Prepare and complete BIR-related compliance tasks and regulatory reporting requirements
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation in accordance with company standards
• Support month-end closing activities and assist in the preparation of financial reports
• Perform general accounting tasks and provide administrative support to the Accounting Supervisor

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or a related field
• At least two (2) years of experience in accounts payable, accounting reporting, and BIR compliance
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Philippine accounting laws and regulations
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good time management abilities and capability to work independently in a small team setting
