Accounting Assistant

About This Role

An Accounting Assistant who works carefully and keeps accurate records will fit well in the finance team of a company that designs and builds recreational attractions. This role involves managing accounts payable and processing payroll.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vendor bills are entered and paid accurately
• Process invoices for payment
• Verify purchase orders against invoices, including prices, payment terms and other charges
• Process intercompany billing
• Reconcile company credit cards
• Handle general accounting tasks, including account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling accounts
• Process payroll on time and accurately
• Review and manage time sheets
• Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings and deductions
• Answer employee questions about payroll

Requirements

• Experience in accounts payable and/or payroll
• Strong attention to detail, organization and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Nice to have:

• Experience with Concur, NetSuite and Paycor or Paychex
