About the role
A stable Hong Kong business seeks an Accountant to drive financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while supporting business growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Own month-end and year-end close, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare full-set accounts, management reports, and statutory financial statements in compliance with HKFRS and regulatory requirements
- Drive variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting while delivering actionable financial insights to support management decision-making
- Oversee AP/AR, payment processes, audit coordination, tax matters, and internal controls to ensure efficient and compliant financial operations
- Lead process improvements, ERP optimisation, automation, documentation, and knowledge sharing to strengthen finance operations and team capability
Candidate profile:
- CPA-qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline and proven hands-on audit experience
- Strong knowledge of HKFRS, statutory compliance, and accounting standards within a regulated environment
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and macros, with hands-on ERP system experience
- Excellent written and spoken English, with Cantonese and Mandarin proficiency highly advantageous for regional communication
- Meticulous, independent, and highly collaborative, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
