About This Role
This accounting role supports leading luxury, retail, and apparel brands, focusing on accounts payable and accounts receivable. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized individual eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to vendor and customer accounts
- Support inventory and sales reconciliations as needed
- Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation upon request
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Retail, E-commerce, and Customer Service
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1-5 years of accounting, AP, AR, bookkeeping, or finance experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
Nice to have:
- Experience within luxury goods, retail, apparel, fashion, consumer products, or e-commerce environments
- Experience with inventory-based businesses
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Exposure to multi-location retail or wholesale operations
- Experience handling high-volume invoice processing and reconciliations
