Accountant

About This Role

The Accountant posts transactions, prepares tax reports, and assists with year-end closing and annual financial statements. This role suits a candidate with a degree in accounting or a related field and strong analytical skills, who can work effectively in a team and under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Post transactions to the general ledger (incoming and outgoing invoices, bank statements, travel expenses, etc.)
• Prepare VAT (Value Added Tax) and other tax reports
• Perform cost calculations, such as travel orders, cash registers, and other expenses
• Prepare various reports including management reports and statistical reports
• Communicate regularly with clients and relevant authorities
• Assist in the process of year-end closing and preparation of annual financial statements, tax returns, and other annual reports
• Manage administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related academic discipline
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or bookkeeping-related position would be considered a strong advantage
• Good level of English language knowledge
• Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel and Outlook
• Strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team and under tight deadlines
• Experience with accounting software is a plus
