Accountant

About This Role

An Accountant who works carefully and keeps a tidy warehouse will fit well in the logistics team. This role is responsible for a variety of general ledger and month-end close activities. You will work closely with the US-based accounting team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records.

Responsibilities

• Book payroll entries for all subsidiaries, both US and foreign, on a semi-monthly basis, including both salaried and hourly employees
• Collaborate effectively with the Payroll team to ensure payroll accounting is accurate prior to booking payroll entries
• Calculate and book the sabbatical accrual on a monthly basis, including monthly reclass between payroll and sabbatical for any employee on sabbatical
• Prepare monthly analysis for payroll variances by sub-department and location
• Prepare and record monthly allocations (Healthcare, Depreciation, Amortization and Overhead) in NetSuite
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, including investigating and resolving any material differences
• Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis for assigned accounts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-4 years of general ledger or staff accountant experience
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with accounting ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet month-end deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
