Being an Accountant or Senior Accountant in the Private Enterprise team means utilizing new technology and processes to deliver accurate and timely enterprise technical services of varying complexity. You will own the delivery of your work, contribute to resolving complex compliance accounting and tax issues, and join a national specialist team with accelerated learning and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
Prepare annual financial statements, income tax returns, and other compliance deliverables for a diverse portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries and entity types
Deliver high-quality technical compliance work, applying accounting and tax knowledge to resolve issues and ensure accurate outcomes for clients
Build strong relationships with engagement teams across the business and contribute to the efficient delivery of compliance services
Support the development of junior team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and review of work completed
Contribute to a high-performance team culture with an innovative approach to the delivery of technical accounting and compliance services
Identify opportunities to improve processes, drive efficiencies, and support the continued evolution of the Delivery & Data Excellence team
Requirements
2-3+ years of relevant professional accounting compliance experience
Be working towards completion of, or have completed, a tertiary degree in Accounting
Competent user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and accounting systems
Ability to deal with multiple tasks concurrently
Professional approach to work and strong client focus
A team player that values input and support from the team but can also work autonomously
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational/time management skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Nice to have:
CAANZ or CPA membership, or membership of a relevant overseas professional body
