About This Role
This accounting role supports PwC firms in Western Europe with client accounting services as part of a fast-growing Alternative Delivery Model team in Cluj. The position suits an experienced accountant who is eager to learn new skills and contribute to a new project.
Responsibilities
- Support and prepare GAAP to STAT conversions (end-to-end process), including preparation of statutory financial statements under local GAAP legislation, acting as an additional preparer within the SFS team
- Use Workiva as the primary reporting and financial statement preparation tool
- Provide accounting support for client engagements, including journal entries, month-end closing activities, financial reporting, VAT-related processes, and other accounting operations
- Perform ad hoc accounting analyses and account reconciliations
- Manage administrative activities related to SFS projects, maintaining documentation and supporting project execution
- Establish and maintain relationships with client management
- Continually learn and share knowledge with other team members
- Build relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service
- Manage performance and identify opportunities to improve products and processes
Requirements
- University degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
- Strong accounting knowledge and more than 1 year of relevant work experience in accounting and tax compliance
- Excellent computer knowledge plus the ability to work with special accounting ERPs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on execution
- Strong English language skills
- Eager to dive into new topics and to learn new skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Highly adaptable and open to change
