Account Manager - Higher Education

About This Role

This Account Manager role focuses on expanding existing Enterprise customers within the Higher Education sector by driving revenue growth through renewals and up-sales. The position involves serving as a trusted advisor to customers and building long-term strategic relationships, with a strong emphasis on commercial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership of current Higher Education customers across North America
• Drive revenue growth by building a strong pipeline and expanding customers, with success measured on Net Revenue Retention (NRR)
• Manage a continuous pipeline for new expansion and up-sell opportunities
• Own renewals of ongoing agreements to prevent churn
• Assess business opportunities and use data to support decision-making towards customers
• Develop a strategy for best-in-class scalable customer expansion and customer success
• Collaborate with Customer Success Managers on strategic enterprise accounts and work with other sales roles daily
• Work closely with the marketing and product team by serving as the voice of customers and listening to market needs

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as a CSM or Account Manager in the SaaS industry
• Experience with Sales and achieving a sales quota
• Ability to assess business opportunities and use data to make informed decisions and persuade others
• Passion for building long-term relationships and driving commercial initiatives with customers
• Knowledge of software contract terms and conditions with the ability to create fair transactions
• Strong negotiation, pipeline, and forecasting skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Permitted to work and live permanently in Toronto, ON
