Account Manager

About This Role

This Account Manager position focuses on employee benefits, maintaining an established book of business and working directly with clients to provide quotes, endorsements, and renewals. The role involves processing service requests, gathering necessary information for submissions, and verifying and maintaining account files.

Responsibilities

• Manage client accounts including processing service requests, policy changes, cancellations, and other functions
• Handle a book of business of $400,000+
• Review insurance applications and policies to ensure initial compliance and underwriting authority and guidelines
• Provide insurance information and support to Sales Executives in a variety of written forms
• Screen and process insurance applications
• Prepare and compile a variety of insurance-related documents within established procedures
• Market existing and new accounts
• Maintain all records
• Maintain positive carrier relationships
• Assist in meeting office sales goals
• Travel may be required (up to 20%)
• Perform any other duties as appropriate and assigned by management

Requirements

• Current Life/Health license is required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred
