Account Executive

About This Role

This Account Executive role focuses on capturing increasing AI infrastructure investment, particularly within the multi-national segment across ASEAN markets. The position requires extensive sales experience and the ability to manage a high volume of virtual transactions, engaging directly with customers to validate opportunities and ensure resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and progress sales opportunities within a broad geographic territory covering Small and Medium Business (SMB), Mid-Market segments, and Multinationals (MNCs)
• Process a high volume of virtual transactions, engaging directly with a select subset of customers to validate opportunities and ensure sufficient resource allocation
• Serve as an opportunity facilitator, receiving and managing inbound opportunities from partners, marketing teams, and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs)
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Cisco’s full product portfolio to deliver the “One Cisco Story”
• Engage specialist teams to enhance the sales process in areas requiring deep technical expertise
• Aid in moving deals down the sales funnel by qualifying opportunities and holding partners accountable to manage and close deals
• Analyze data and create accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts
• Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes
• Identify and qualify complex sales opportunities with ASEAN, focusing on AI infrastructure and MNC segments
• Cultivate collaboration across the pod to stay informed and identify when to engage team members at any given time to maximize opportunities
• Lead specialist sales teams to drive One Cisco messaging and penetrate the broader Cisco portfolio
• Provide critical input to cross-architecture initiatives to optimize strategic opportunities across the pod
• Engage and manage Mid-Market, SMB, and MNC accounts using RAD data and AI tools to drive customer acquisition and retention through effective cross-pod coordination
• Develop an in-depth understanding of customer(s), product(s), organization, industry, and challenges to align Cisco’s solutions with decision-makers; research other relevant solutions as required
• Empower partners with market analysis and strategic support to enhance opportunity targeting and build a strong Mid-Market pipeline
• Facilitate workshops and strategic planning sessions with multiple customer stakeholders
• Provide Partners with tools and resources to deliver multi-technology, cross-architecture solutions
• Leverage outbound marketing campaign content and insights to aid Partners in tailoring outreach efforts
• Deliver strategic insights that influence deal direction
• Combine advanced knowledge of a primary Cisco portfolio with working knowledge of other Cisco architectures
• Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams to support the design and proposal of advanced, customized solutions that address nuanced customer needs
• Facilitate technical discussions with customer IT and business leaders to co-develop solution roadmaps
• Use standard and occasional non-standard methods to describe Cisco’s solution value and address customer challenges in discovery conversations
• Ensure real-time updates across deal stages, legal forecasts, and key customer interactions through consistent virtual connection with partners
• Collaborate with finance to accelerate deal closure and resolve complex issues
• Influence partners and team members by shaping strategies and providing Networking portfolio expertise
• Operationalize knowledge sharing, leveraging informal and formal channels to foster collaboration and drive a culture of continuous learning and innovation amongst partners and the pod

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience
• Bi-lingual in English and Mandarin Chinese
• Extensive sales experience across multiple markets in ASEAN
