Account Executive

About This Role

An Account Executive plays a crucial role in the field sales department, focusing on acquiring new customers and driving customer development. This team guides new customers through overcoming legacy platform challenges and adopting advanced enterprise management cloud solutions. The team partners with customers to create optimal solutions, provide long-term value, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Select, target, and strategize to close significant business opportunities in the assigned area
• Conduct account planning for assigned cases, collaborating strategically with pre-sales and other departments
• Propose and support Workday solutions to large enterprise prospects, and promote value propositions
• Accurately and promptly update existing/potential customers, pipelines, and service forecast data

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in field sales, selling products such as SaaS, cloud-based ERP, Human Capital Management (HCM), financial, management, or analytics solutions to CxOs
• Experience negotiating with various executives
• Experience in acquiring business opportunities
• Experience in developing methods for generating and cultivating lead customers within the assigned area

Nice to have:

• Proven track record of contributing to the shortening of sales cycles (e.g., lead generation)
• Ability to analyze the industry's strategic competitive landscape through daily trends and customer needs, and efficiently deploy Workday solutions within client companies
• Experience involving and collaborating with internal members in account sales strategies
