Academic Coordinator

About This Role

This position involves working with multiple external partner agencies to create, deliver, and assess state-wide clinical training programs and programmatic assessment infrastructure at an organizational level. The role requires substantial professional expertise and discretion, exercising independence in determining educational program content, assessment strategies, and supporting infrastructure. It suits a professional who can develop, communicate, and implement educational programs and assessment procedures across multiple partner institutions to drive standardization and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with multiple external partner agencies to create, deliver, and assess state-wide clinical training programs and programmatic assessment infrastructure
• Exercise substantial independence in determining the content of educational programs and/or programmatic assessment strategies, and supporting infrastructure to facilitate educational program delivery
• Develop, communicate, and implement educational programs and/or assessment procedures across multiple partner institutions that drive standardization and coordination across entities
• Partner effectively with system-level executive leaders, practice entities, business owners, administrative individuals, facility teams, groups, physicians, and clinicians to ensure educational programs and programmatic assessment plans are executed effectively
• Incorporate community needs in scholarship efforts delivered by faculty at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy
• Exercise substantial independence in implementation of research procedures, data analysis, and interpretation of results
• Disseminate information/educational scholarship in traditional academic and/or public service platforms (e.g., workshops, classes, programs)

Requirements

• Master

or Bachelor

and 0-2 years

experience; or a combination of related education and experience in substitution

• Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required; for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity or comparable background in independent academic or instructional activities, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution
• Seven (7) years of experience in a supervisory, management or leadership role for educational program administration or Three (3) to Five (5) years of project management experience related to educational program administration

Nice to have:

• Project Management Professional certification (PMP)
• Experience as a seasoned professional with the ability to influence senior staff members across clinical, operational and technology teams to develop enterprise level educational integration plans for future growth and improvement
