Academic Advisor

About This Role

An Academic Advisor at Crimson Education helps ambitious students gain admission to top universities by providing expert-led guidance and data-driven strategies. This role involves achieving sales targets, building rapport with families, and presenting Crimson's products to prospective clients. It suits a sales-oriented individual passionate about education and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes
• Identify and interact with new potential Crimson customers
• Establish rapport with parents and their students to communicate and showcase the benefits of working with Crimson Education
• Conduct sales consultations and academic assessments professionally and in alignment with the Crimson brand and culture
• Present and promote Crimson products as per the company's sales process to prospective families
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive and professional customer interactions and relationships that lead to positive experiences and referrals
• Consistently and timely onboard new clients to the Student Success Manager team
• Contact existing clients to inform and upsell them on new developments within Crimson’s product offering
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Continuously improve sales techniques and enhance industry knowledge
• Host or attend some sales-oriented marketing events (mostly online) when necessary
• Maintain effective communication with the Accounts team to ensure timely payment of accounts
• Provide feedback and suggestions on how to improve sales processes
• Be a proactive contributor to a generous, close-knit, high-performing team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in sales or business or an education-oriented field, and/or equivalent job experience in sales, with a preference for experience in the education space
• Clear understanding of sales fundamentals
• Strong communication skills and customer rapport building
• Time management skills and ability to adapt to work on a fully remote team that’s situated across all four US time zones
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

Nice to have:

• Experience speaking or presenting in front of large groups
• Knowledge of the US college admissions process and competitive Ivy League landscape
• Knowledge of CRM platforms, such as Salesforce
