Job Description – Associate Area Head, Gold Loans Location: Nandyala, Andhra Pradesh

Reporting To: Area Head / Regional Business Manager
Job Purpose The Associate Area Head will be responsible for driving business growth, managing branch operations, ensuring portfolio quality, and leading sales teams across the assigned geography. The role involves achieving business targets, enhancing customer acquisition, maintaining operational compliance, and supporting branch teams to deliver superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales
- Drive Gold Loan business growth across assigned branches within the area.
- Achieve disbursement, revenue, portfolio, and profitability targets.
- Increase market penetration through customer acquisition and local marketing initiatives.
- Identify business opportunities and develop strategies for portfolio expansion.
- Monitor branch-wise performance and implement corrective action plans to achieve targets.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop Branch Managers and field teams.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for improved productivity.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability and support recruitment efforts.
- Foster a high-performance and customer-centric work culture.
Portfolio & Risk Management
- Monitor portfolio quality and ensure healthy business growth.
- Control delinquency levels and support collection efforts wherever required.
- Ensure adherence to risk management and credit policies.
- Review high-value transactions and deviations as per organizational guidelines.
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor branch operations, documentation, and customer service standards.
- Conduct periodic branch visits and operational reviews.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and compliance gaps.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with customers, local influencers, and business associates.
- Address customer escalations promptly and ensure high service standards.
- Drive customer retention and cross-selling opportunities.
MIS & Reporting
- Analyze business performance through regular MIS reviews.
- Track key business metrics and provide actionable insights to management.
- Prepare and present periodic business reviews and performance reports.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline; Postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in Gold Loans, NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services.
- Minimum 2-3 years of team handling experience.
- Strong understanding of Gold Loan operations and portfolio management.
- Proven track record in achieving business and sales targets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned geography.
