The site of Kohnan based in Japan belongs to Power Division. We are looking for a VIE Productivity Buyer for 12 months within the team.
Your challenges?
- You define and implement technical and supplier re-sourcing productivity actions in line with budget objectives
- You collaborate with purchasing and operational teams to achieve cost reduction and negotiation targets
- You drive material productivity initiatives and coordinate supplier involvement according to project timelines
- You manage and strengthen supplier relationships for assigned strategic suppliers
- You deploy and enforce global material and purchasing standards across the site
- You build and monitor the purchasing budget together with site management and purchasing teams
- You implement risk mitigation and logistics action plans to secure supply continuity and operational performance
- You monitor purchasing performance through cost savings, sourcing efficiency, quality performance, and supplier chargeback indicators
Let’s Talk About You…
- You hold a degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- You already have experience in purchasing, supplier management, sourcing, or industrial operations
- You have a fluent level of English
- You have strong communication skills, an international mindset, and openness to different cultures and ways of working
- You are collaborative, attentive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in cross-functional environments
- You demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
- You are organized, proactive, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is a plus
