3D Printing Modeler & Operator

About This Role

This role involves preparing 3D files, operating printers, and managing daily production activities within a 3D printing production team. It suits a technically capable, quick-learning, and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about 3D printing technology.

Responsibilities

• Review, repair, optimize, and split 3D models into printable parts based on printer capabilities and production requirements
• Prepare files using slicing software, optimize print orientation, supports, and settings to achieve the best quality and efficiency
• Set up, operate, and monitor multiple 3D printers, ensuring consistent quality and timely production
• Perform routine printer maintenance, calibration, and basic technical troubleshooting
• Organize printing schedules, maintain production sheets, track printing progress, and manage digital files
• Inspect printed components, identify printing defects, and minimize material waste and production failures
• Suggest improvements to printing processes, machine efficiency, and production workflows

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience operating FDM/SLA/SLS
• Good knowledge of 3D slicing software such as Bambu Studio, and similar
• Experience with 3D model repair, mesh editing, splitting, and preparation for 3D printing
• Familiarity with 3D software such as Blender, Meshmixer, Fusion 360, ZBrush or similar is an advantage
• Good understanding of printing materials, machine settings, and troubleshooting
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple printing jobs simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
• Passionate about 3D printing and emerging technologies
