About This Role
Working with project leaders on challenging residential and utility projects, the 3D Modeler creates detailed 3D drawings in Revit, adjusts designs based on feedback, and communicates with team members and external parties. This role suits a motivated individual with spatial insight and a willingness to learn, whether experienced or just starting out.
Responsibilities
- Set up and detail virtual building models in Revit
- Process changes, feedback from external parties (such as architects and installers), and identify potential bottlenecks (clash detection) before execution
- Actively coordinate and communicate with internal project teams, clients, and suppliers to monitor progress and quality
- Generate accurate working drawings, detailed drawings, and quantity calculations directly from the 3D model
Requirements
- Completed MBO or HBO education in Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Installation Technology, or a comparable technical background
- Experience with or demonstrable affinity for 3D CAD/BIM software (preferably Revit)
- Experience in the construction or installation sector is a plus, but not a requirement
- Works accurately, structured, and independently, but also thrives in a team-oriented work environment
Nice to have:
- For students and career changers: an intensive, practical training program including 1-on-1 guidance by experienced colleagues to gradually train you to become an independent 3D modeler if you have an electrical engineering or construction background at MBO level but no Revit experience
