Our Summer Internship Program

Our Summer Internship Program is an 8-week internship (from June 14 – August 6, 2027) designed to provide you with an exciting, supportive and fun experience which mirrors life as an Analyst at BlackRock. You’ll have real-world responsibilities during the summer, in addition to participating in professional development, networking and social events.

The Summer Internship Program acts as a feeder to the 2028 Full-Time Graduate Analyst Program.

About Compliance

Compliance protects BlackRock’s reputation and provides advice to the business focused on ensuring the protection of our clients’ best interests. The department operates in a dynamic environment with the team focused on understanding evolving business strategy, as well as advising on the impact of regulation in our business, with the objective of:

  • Actively participating in business decisions to champion our clients’ interests and assist the business in translating Compliance into their daily work and decision making;
  • Putting client interests at the center of everything we do;
  • Cultivating and enhancing BlackRock’s Compliance culture;
  • Providing thought leadership on the impact and implementation of regulation to our business and to the market; and
  • Developing and fostering excellence within the Compliance team.

In conjunction with Legal, the Compliance team oversees BlackRock’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations and is responsible for, among other things, establishing Legal and Compliance policies and procedures that meet applicable regulatory requirements and testing the effectiveness of those policies and procedures, overseeing regulatory matters, and providing Compliance training.

As a Summer Intern, you will

  • Provide compliance and regulatory advice to internal clients
  • Provide advice and guidance with respect to compliance with local, regional and global laws, regulations, best practices and BlackRock’s policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Financial Crime, Legal and Risk & Quantitative Analysis functions in the provision of advice and guidance to investment teams
  • Participate in global and/or regional compliance initiatives to ensure global best practices and consistency including in the regional coordination of tasks
  • Review marketing and distribution materials
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of BlackRock’s information barriers
  • Monitor local and regional regulatory developments and evaluating their impact on the business

What capabilities are we looking for?

  • A passion in understanding the regulatory environment and various asset management compliance programs
  • An understanding of financial crime such as AML and Anti Bribery and Corruption issues
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external business stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
