Its innovations cover diagnostics, imaging, and surgical treatment for healthcare professionals. ZEISS Vision Care (VIS) has about 400 employees and is located in Fougères, Paris, and Les Mureaux. Vision Care designs and manufactures innovative ophthalmic lenses and vision correction solutions for opticians, aimed at improving daily visual comfort. France Chirurgie Instrumentation (FCI), based in Besançon and a Carl Zeiss subsidiary since 2005, designs and develops medical devices for ophthalmology. For over 40 years, it has developed innovative solutions in oculoplastics and retina in close collaboration with expert surgeons. Its facilities in Besançon include R&D, production, and regulatory affairs.
