About Yulius

Nearly one in four people in the Netherlands encounter psychological problems in their lives. Some people learn to cope with these themselves, others need help and treatment from a professional. Yulius helps children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric problems. At home, with the general practitioner, or at an outpatient clinic. And if necessary, in a clinic or supported living environment. We also offer special education to students who, due to (suspected) psychological disorders, need extra support with learning. We do this at 14 schools, together with our care partners and the partnerships for appropriate education. Yulius is a foundation with all admissions for treatment from the Health Insurance Act as well as admissions from the AWBZ for support, guidance, or residence. Annually, we provide care to around 16,000 people: children, adolescents, and adults with various psychiatric problems in the triangle of Dordrecht, Rotterdam, and Gorinchem. We also involve the immediate environment, such as family or friends. At Yulius, approximately 2,000 professionals work, including psychiatrists, psychologists, resident doctors, and social psychiatric nurses. But also teachers, chaplains, activity leaders, peer support workers, volunteers, and many more employees. Together, they are committed to aligning our care and education as well as possible with the demands and needs of our clients and students.
