Why Yes We Can Clinics? Because tens of thousands of young people and young adults are struggling with severe psychological problems, addictions, and behavioral issues. Because numerous treatments, therapies, and care institutions have not helped these young people. And because we see that our unique – call it stubborn – approach does work. The keywords? Unconditional warmth, safety, connection, and confrontation at the right moment. We do not call the young people in the clinic 'clients' but 'fellows,' which minimizes the distance between our colleagues and the young people. We work with a team of psychologists, educationalists, psychiatrists, counselors with lived experience, and youth coaches, supported by hundreds of colleagues. All driven by the conviction: "Everything for the fellow." Before young people and their parents turn to Yes We Can Clinics, they have often already received many forms of care. Despair and powerlessness reign. We provide these young people and their families with tools to tackle their problems, achieve behavioral change, and reintegrate into society. The treatment program at Yes We Can Clinics consists of a combination of therapeutic sessions and sports and outdoor activities. We tailor the duration and intensity of the program to the issues of the young person and their family. Young people go through the treatment together with other fellows, so they can collectively acknowledge their problems, learn to ask for help, tackle problems, and achieve lasting change. There is also a program for parents or guardians, and we pay ample attention to siblings. And then there is the intensive aftercare and the physical and digital Yes We Can Meetings, with which we support the fellows in the most critical phase of the treatment process: applying their recovery in daily life.
