Yadkin Path Montessori is a privately owned, high-quality, year-round childcare, Preschool and elementary school operated out of Salisbury, NC. Healthy, just and joyful childcare and education Yadkin Path offers Montessori to the children and parents of Rowan County, NC. We welcome children of all races, religions, and ethnicities. We welcome children 1-2 1/2 in a Toddler Community and 2 1/2 to 5 or 6 years of age in what is often called a "Children's House." Age, developmental readiness, space availability and classroom dynamics are all factors for admission to each program level. Our priority is to enroll children whose families understand and are committed to our programs and philosophy. We expect to expand to infants in the near future, adding first through third grades if parents request. The owner/director, Myra Tannehill, is a native of Rowan County who has worked in education for over 20 years. Yadkin Path children learn through hands-on experiences, giving them new motor, social, cognitive, and language skills as well as foundations in math, reading, writing, thinking and problem-solving, and practical life skills. Our curriculum focuses on our community's history, environment, geography, systems, issues, and diverse cultures. Yadkin Path makes every effort to admit each child who applies into a classroom. However, the school cannot guarantee that a position will become available.
