The XXXLutz Group operates over 370 furniture stores in 13 European countries and employs more than 26,300 people. In Germany, over 11,000 employees contribute to the group's success, operating 57 XXXLutz furniture stores and 47 Mömax trend take-away markets. With an annual turnover of 5.75 billion euros, the XXXLutz Group is one of the world's largest furniture retailers. The joint GIGA purchasing association also bundles the more than 1.6 billion euros in revenue from POCO (8,500 employees). The XXXLutz Group has had its German headquarters in Würzburg, Lower Franconia, since 2009. As part of further expansion, a completely new company headquarters was built there in 2019, offering employees an attractive working environment. With XXXLutz's continuous growth, the German headquarters is being expanded just four years after its opening – around 700 employees work at the German headquarters of XXXLutz alone. Gertrude Seifert, née Lutz, opened the main store in Haag am Hausruck, Upper Austria, in 1945 with regional craftsmanship. The company has pursued an uninterrupted expansion policy since 1973. Customer and employee satisfaction are the essential pillars of the XXXLutz Group. Remuneration in all areas is above the usual industry average, and in many areas even significantly above – for example, in assembly and sales. Employees receive continuous training at the XXXLutz Training Academy, focusing on the latest trends and products, 3D planning, customer service, and the use of digital shopping assistants. Each employee completes an average of ten training days per year. The company invests around eleven million euros annually in personnel training and coaching alone. XXXLutz completely redefined its personnel development in 2019: the HR team of around 30 people consists of trainers, coaches, and training managers.
