About World Gym

The iconic World Gym brand was founded in 1976 by Joe Gold during the glory days of "Muscle Beach" in Venice, CA. Joe was one of the original ringleaders of Muscle Beach. Joe blazed a trail followed later by the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno, & Dave Draper - all of whom had significant Hollywood careers & an intimate connection to & love for WG. Since launching its first club in Australia in 2008, World Gym Australia has become a driving force in the fitness industry. Built on the foundations of Joe Gold's vision, the network has grown from a single club in Penrith to more than 60 locations across the country, creating communities where everyday people can train like legends.
