About Woonplus Schiedam

Woonplus is there for people who have difficulty navigating the housing market. As a housing corporation, our task is to ensure that they can find sufficient affordable and suitable homes in Schiedam. It is important that these homes are located in liveable, diverse, and sustainable neighborhoods. Only then can we contribute to a good foundation in their lives. At Woonplus, approximately 120 people work. Every day, we dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to our tenants and other residents of Schiedam. We do this in an agile organization that operates as geographically focused as possible. As a housing corporation, we have a social responsibility that entails many obligations. We are very aware of this. We believe it is important that every employee feels that responsibility personally and asks themselves daily: what do our tenants truly need, what role can I play in this, and with whom should I collaborate for this? But also: what may need to change in our approach? Because at Woonplus, we don't want to do things 'just because that's how they've always been done.' That's why we have opted for a flat organization where everyone has a high degree of autonomy. This makes us agile, encourages new initiatives, and ensures that we constantly improve as an organization.
