About Woningstichting Rochdale

Rochdale ensures that people with low incomes can live in Amsterdam, Zaanstad, Purmerend, Diemen, and Landsmeer. With affordable, good-quality housing, we offer a home to over 80,000 people. Rochdale gives homes. Just like our founders, Pieter Roeland and Hendrik Glimmerveen, in 1903. This coachman and conductor on the Amsterdam horse-drawn tram gave homes to poor workers who lived in cellars and shacks. They founded a housing cooperative with the guiding values of attention to others, openness, and social responsibility. We are a true 'social' corporation, we are here for people with low incomes. Primarily, these are households with an income up to €35,000. Additionally, we use the option to allocate housing to families with an income up to €39,000 in social rent. Within these income groups, we are here for everyone: families, students, young people, seniors, vulnerable groups, and urgent seekers.
