About Woningcorporatie ZVH

ZVH stands for ‘Zaandams Volkshuisvesting’ (Zaan Housing). Founded in 1913 to offer workers at the Pont company better housing than the deplorable living conditions they were in. It was a small group of stubborn doers who did not accept the status quo but set to work to make things better for ordinary people who had less. Times have changed, but that image still inspires us more than a hundred years later. That is still in our DNA: the passion to make things better, with a Zaan mentality of ‘don’t talk, just do’ and staying close to the customer. Our mission: To provide quality housing for people with the lowest incomes in the Zaan region, now and in the future. Important concepts for us are: involved, transparent, professional, efficient, accessible, clear, decisive. ZVH - course Our business plan clearly directs our priorities: affordability for the lowest income groups and excellent service to our tenants. Due to housing shortages also among middle incomes and the need for more income group mixing in some neighborhoods, we needed to sharpen our course. This offers a lot of freedom to organize the work together and provide optimal service to our residents.
