In 2007, friends were having a couple of craft beers and talking about their future. They wanted to do something they both loved and that would fun. Their inspiration was the beer in front of them – and the World of Beer (WOB Bar & Kitchen) was born. The original location started life as a retail store but soon evolved into a neighborhood tavern when they noticed customers were looking for a place to sit, talk beer and spend time with friends. They weren’t just selling beer, but the experience of great craft beer and the connection of community. This insight led to the opening of the first WOB in Tampa, Florida, featuring the world’s great craft beers served with great hospitality. This quickly grew into the WOB Bar & Kitchen we know today. Today's WOB offers much more than just craft beer selected with care. WOB also offers spirits, wine, and crafted food items that compliment all of our beverages. WOB is a great place to grab a beer and a burger after work, hang out and watch the big game or relax on the weekend with brunch on the patio.
