Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Center (WYH) has been delivering healthcare to the Capital District community since 1971. Originally, a small community health center located in the community of Arbor Hill in downtown Albany, WYH has expanded over the past 40 years into a multi-site federally qualified health center serving nearly 20,000 patients annually. WYH provides medical care, mental health care, women’s health, pediatrics, infectious disease care, and dental care onsite in addition to ancillary services such as care coordination, substance abuse treatment, vision exams, diabetic health education, laboratory services, walk-in rapid HIV testing, and pharmacy services. WYH has maintained Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home status since 2010 and obtained Level 1 Meaningful Use. WYH is accredited by the Joint Commission.
