WeMind Individ & Familj was created with a clear vision to raise the standard of care offered to the community's youth. It must be a given that the facilities that receive individuals in such vulnerable life situations that they are placed in full-time care have the highest density of competent treatment resources and take active responsibility for using evidence-based methods, thorough follow-up, and simultaneously keeping costs for the community as low as possible. WeMind IoF operates HVB homes, treatment and resource schools, and outpatient care according to SoL. Currently, we operate five HVB homes, two for boys between 14-18 years old in Gålö and Skrubba, and one for girls between 14-18 years old in Vendelsö. Our HVB facilities for both girls and boys aged 14-18 are located in Partille (Gothenburg) and Väsby. The target group is common where the placed youths have psychosocial problems such as difficulties in family relationships, school absenteeism, isolation issues, and/or behavioral problems like defiance and externalization or self-harm. We specialize in providing qualified evidence-based psychiatric interventions, and our interventions are therefore particularly suitable when mental illness is the underlying cause of the aforementioned difficulties. Low mood, suicidal thoughts, eating problems, anxiety issues, and psychotic symptoms are common in the youth group. We perform all interventions with our own staff and have extensive experience in creating individual solutions for neurodevelopmental disorders. Challenges related to substance abuse and criminality are not part of the target group, and we can offer completely drug-free environments to thrive and grow in. All our therapeutic interventions are carried out by psychologists specializing in CBT who work full-time in the facility, allowing us to offer a unique setup for intensive on-site treatment. Each youth also has a responsible social worker who works with the school-home-social services network.
