Vivofacil is the leading company for private care for people in their homes. Vivofacil, the first Spanish company in private home personal assistance services, was founded in 1999 under the name Alares by Javier Benavente Barrón, after suffering a serious accident and feeling the great need for assistance, care and attention for millions of people who live alone or need help in their own homes, either due to age, illness, or because they simply wish to improve their lifestyle. The objective was to facilitate equal opportunities between men and women and to support those other people who need to balance their personal, family, and work life. In February 2023, after 24 years of existence and in order to make the name easier to remember for the most vulnerable and older people, its name was changed to Vivofacil. Vivofacil provides assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and in 6 different languages (Spanish, Catalan, English, Portuguese, German, and French), extending its care to foreign individuals living in or visiting Spain. The objective of Vivofacil has always been to ensure that everyone in Spain has a minimum of personal and assistance services available in their daily lives, regardless of where they live, their economic level, their education, their age, or their social status, promoting the improvement of the quality of life for all people and equal opportunities. Vivofacil is convinced that the great power of social transformation lies in companies and civil society, and they are the engine of change towards a more just society. In this regard, its greatest responsible commitment is developed in the area of managing and promoting the diversity of people within companies and institutions, as the greatest source of innovation, value creation, and social wealth.
