About VIAS Rail GmbH

Under the VIAS brand, VIAS GmbH, VIAS Logistik GmbH, and VIAS Rail GmbH, under the umbrella of the family-run RATH Group, operate several competitive networks in regional rail transport. VIAS began operations in 2005 with the acquisition of the Odenwaldbahn, which is still operated today. Since 2010, VIAS has also operated on the RheingauLinie, since 2017 on the Erft-Schwalm-Netz (lines RB 34 and RB 39), and since 2022 on the Niederrhein-Netz (lines RE 19 and RB 35). Since December 2023, we have also operated the Ruhr-Sieg-Netz. The company's headquarters are in Düren (Rhineland), with a second location in Frankfurt-Griesheim (Hesse).
