About Verpact

We are Verpact (formerly Afvalfonds Verpakkingen). We play a central role in making the packaging chain circular. Based on the legal producer responsibility for packaging, we ensure that packaging is collected and recycled in a smart and efficient way, including the deposit system. And we help producers and consumers make circular choices and stimulate reuse. With this, we retain valuable raw materials in the chain, reduce litter and microplastics, and limit the impact of packaging on the environment. Supporter of Clean, with the aim of preventing litter, is an initiative of Verpact. Knowledge Institute Sustainable Packaging (KIDV), which helps organizations make substantiated and realistic packaging choices, and Deposit money the Netherlands are also part of Verpact.
