Veminas Caminhões began its activities in 1981, as one of the first authorized Volkswagen truck and bus dealerships in Brazil. Focused on quality of service and customer satisfaction, in 1994 it began implementing its quality certification project, instituting the 5S Program. With the objective of creating a continuous improvement process, reducing service time, and raising quality standards, it later created the PMC8 program with support from Volkswagen consultants. In 1996, the effective quality certification process took place. Along with Volkswagen do Brasil, the certification company TUV Management Service was contracted, responsible for evaluating all dealerships qualified for the ISO 9002 standard. In November 1997, after an audit, Veminas received ISO 9002 certification, proving its alignment with the international quality standards required by TUV Cert, a certifying body of TUV Management Service GMBH, Germany. In 2003, it received the certification update for quality, moving to the ISO 9001:2000 standard, establishing the most modern quality standards. Aware of its responsibility and commitment to its customers, Veminas Caminhões e Ônibus continuously works on revising its procedures, investing in updating its structure, machinery, equipment, and, primarily, in the development and training of its employees.
