About Vara kommun

With us, the landscape is flat and the expanses are vast, but it's not just nature that gives us the opportunity to see far. We have a tradition of working long-term and broadening our horizons. Vara dares! Vara Municipality has nearly 1300 employees, making us the largest single employer in our municipality. The municipality's success factors are entrepreneurship, meeting place, culture, internationalization, competence, infrastructure, and inclusion. The factors indicate what Vara Municipality is working on to achieve the overall goal "In Vara Municipality, everyone enjoys living and residing". Vara's geographical location, in the middle of Västra Götaland, a stone's throw from E20, makes it easy to get here. There are 9 bus lines and 2 railway lines in the municipality. In Vara, there is the good life, everyone is welcome here, we look a little further here. We are building for the future!
