Climate change is a reality that is imposing itself. Every year our planet gets hotter and climate events more extreme. 15% of global CO₂ emissions come from road vehicles. That's 5.9 billion tons of CO₂ every year. Despite this, only 1% of motorcycles sold in Latin America are electric. The electrification of motorcycles in the region is fundamental for its sustainable development. In addition to reducing emissions, it also achieves lower noise pollution and greater economy per km traveled. In countries like Brazil, whose electricity comes almost entirely from renewable sources (85%), the electrification of fleets is even more important to reduce emissions. But this opportunity is today limited by the high costs and low autonomy of batteries. Removing these obstacles is what drives us at Vammo. We believe that a network of swappable and shared batteries is the solution to this problem. By renting motorcycles and batteries at prices lower than they would pay for a gasoline motorcycle, we facilitate their adoption, guaranteeing users greater flexibility and money in their pockets. By keeping batteries always available and nearby, we offer practically unlimited autonomy, eliminating a barrier that today excludes so many workers.
