The Panizzi family has been producing cheese since 1914, the year founders Enzo and Cesira opened the first dairy. The cheesemaking tradition continued over time, until 1988, when Enzo and Liliana Panizzi, the current owners, relaunched the family business by founding Valcolatte as we know it today. Located in Valconasso di Pontenure, about 10 km from Piacenza, our company covers an area of 112,000 square meters, housing the production facility, storage and preservation warehouses, the R&D laboratory, and the commercial and administrative areas. The group consists of 4 exceptional entities in the dairy world, located in Europe and capable of competing in international markets: Caseificio Valcolatte, Ovàrtej, Valcoiberia, and Valcoiliria. With a team of over 300 people, we transform more than 600,000 liters of milk daily using cutting-edge technologies. Thanks to our internal analysis laboratory, we can guarantee constant and meticulous chemical and microbiological control of products and raw materials. This careful management has allowed us to obtain two of the most important international food certifications: BRC and IFS, which represent the seal of quality for our company. Furthermore, we have successfully acquired the following certifications: ICEA, V-LABEL, HALAL, KOSHER, AND CERTIQUALITY, which allow us to further differentiate our business.
