The Georg Jos. Kaes GmbH is a medium-sized retail company founded 150 years ago in Kaufbeuren. With the brands V-Markt, V-Baumarkt, Christl’s Modemärkte, and C&C, the company is represented at almost 50 locations in the southern Bavarian region. As a full-range provider, customers can choose from up to 45,000 food items and 86,000 non-food items depending on the store size. Customers benefit from an extensive range of product breadth and depth. Many items are carried by different manufacturers. In addition to different price segments - from affordable entry-level to branded products - the focus is also on organic and sustainable cultivation as well as regional products. The Georg Jos. Kaes company offers additional added value with 11 car washes, 32 gas stations, and free electric charging stations at almost every location. At one location, a shoe specialty store has been operated for some time under the name Schuhprofi & Mode. In 2014, company-wide sales of over 700 million Euros were generated. Today, the owner-managed family business is led by the 5th generation. The company headquarters and central warehouse are located in Mauerstetten in the beautiful Allgäu.
