The UPSA laboratory places people at the heart of its actions to accompany all moments of life. Founded in 1935, UPSA is today both a company, with one of the largest pharmaceutical industrial sites in Europe located in Agen, and a committed brand present in the daily lives of patients and pharmacists. Through its range of family medication, UPSA develops, manufactures and provides medicines to relieve everyday pain and minor ailments, from babies to the elderly, and also markets medical devices. Its expertise extends over five therapeutic areas: pain and fever (historic specialty), ENT and respiratory tract, digestion, sleep disorders and vitality. UPSA embodies territorial anchoring and the defense of "Made in France" know-how that radiates internationally. As the leading private employer in Lot-et-Garonne, the company brings together 1,500 employees in France and generates 3,500 indirect jobs in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Present in more than 60 countries (3 subsidiaries), mainly in Europe, French-speaking Africa and Vietnam, UPSA exports nearly 40% of its volumes internationally each year from Agen.
