About Universidade Tiradentes-Unit

In 1994, after recognition by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Sports, the first and only private university in the state of Sergipe emerged: Universidade Tiradentes. What began in 1962 as a modest school is now a benchmark for Higher Education Institutions in the Northeast Region. Driven by the mission to expand access to quality education, led by its founder, Professor Jouberto Uchôa de Mendonça, Universidade Tiradentes is also present in Pernambuco through the Tiradentes University Center. Furthermore, it has Distance Learning (EaD) centers in other states in the region. With a focus on innovation and modern infrastructure, providing access to state-of-the-art laboratories that allow for the exploration of the practical side of each field of study and libraries with regularly updated collections for research and extension activities, Unit also offers specialization programs, MBAs, and stricto sensu postgraduate degrees, such as master's and doctoral programs recognized by Capes. Everything is planned to continue contributing to the general development of society, as demonstrated by decades of dedication to preparing generations of qualified professionals for the world.
