About Universidade Positivo (UP)

The Universidade Positivo (UP) is a Higher Education Institution resulting from three decades of experience of the Positivo Group. Universidade Positivo originated from the Positivo Colleges in 1988. The Institution offered five undergraduate courses, two specialization courses – Lato Sensu Postgraduate – and an interinstitutional Master’s degree in Administration, in partnership with the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Ten years later (in 1998), the Positivo Colleges were transformed into the Positivo University Center, offering 18 undergraduate courses. In 2000, the Institution transferred its campus to a specially designed and built area of 410,000 m², in the Campo Comprido neighborhood, in Curitiba, providing students with comfort and convenience, as stimuli for professional or charitable activities aimed at the region’s communities. In 2008, the Ministry of Education authorized the transformation of the Positivo University Center (UnicenP) into a University. Today, Universidade Positivo has an area of 424.8 thousand m2 and offers 48 undergraduate courses (28 Bachelor’s and Licentiate degrees and 20 Higher Technology courses), two Doctorates, four Master’s programs, dozens of Specialization and MBA programs, and hundreds of Extension programs.
