About Unimed Vitória

Founded on August 27, 1979, and with a trajectory marked by credibility and recognition from the Capixaba society, Unimed Vitória is today a reference among health plans and other Unimeds throughout Brazil. Its history began with the work of 26 doctors who shared a common dream: to practice medicine as a liberal profession, without intermediaries, with quality and ethics. Guided by a forward-thinking stance, the cooperative, which started with a small number of corporate clients, gradually conquered new markets, gained solidity, and expanded its horizons. Today, Unimed Vitória has about 2,200 cooperative members and 1,800 employees, who together strive for the satisfaction of approximately 320,000 clients. Nationally, Unimed is the Top of Mind brand when it comes to health plans, according to a Datafolha Institute survey. It also maintains leadership in the survey revealing the health plan that Brazilians trust the most. Locally, Unimed Vitória is among the thirty largest companies in Espírito Santo, and the first place in its segment; which makes it the most remembered medical assistance in our State. All of this reflects the stance of a group that preserves its history and looks to the future, combining cooperative ideals with the constant search for health solutions, aiming for more humanized care and the greater development of society.
