Unibes

About Unibes

Founded in 1915, the institution was created from the merger of various groups and organizations that worked in social assistance for the Jewish community, with the purpose of helping the thousands of immigrants arriving in Brazil as a result of World War I (1914-1918) and, years later, World War II (1939-1945). The integration of these entities was a solution to optimize efforts and better manage financial resources. Today, more than 100 years later, Unibes maintains the principles and values of these entities, based on social justice, and is proud to be one of the most respected social institutions in the third sector, recognized in the public and private sectors for its credibility, efficiency, and transparency.
