About UNAI - Union Nationale des Associations Intermédiaires

The UNAI's mission is to represent, defend, and support Intermediate Associations on a daily basis. Created in 2001, the UNAI has maintained its specific characteristic of being managed, like the AI themselves, by volunteer administrators, militant leaders, and competent and committed salaried AI Directors. The UNAI currently brings together more than 180 member AI spread across the entire French territory, in mainland France and overseas. The UNAI represents, advises, and defends its members, and by extension, all Intermediate Associations. It defends the specificities and the economic and societal model of Intermediate Associations, particularly their mission of welcoming all audiences far from employment. The UNAI defends the vision of a supportive society that allows access to employment for all. The UNAI supports the continuous professionalization of its members. It organizes training sessions concerning all best practices for managing an Intermediate Association, particularly through the quality approach resulting from the QUALI & RSE label. The UNAI, the national network head exclusively dedicated to defending Intermediate Associations, is finally particularly responsible for advocating with public authorities to defend the sustainability of the AI model among the various integration structures.
