About UCPA

The Union nationale des Centres Sportifs de Plein Air (UCPA) is a French association established under the 1901 law, created in 1965 to promote physical activities. As its name suggests, this organization is a collection of French associations. It is administered by the State, local authorities, and major youth and popular education movements. The UCPA "places its humanist, social, and civic project within the framework of public service, and participates in the implementation of public policies aimed at youth." The UCPA fulfills three missions, which translate into three activities: - sports holidays; - local sports leisure; - vocational training for sports professions.
