About Transportowy Dozór Techniczny

Transportowy Dozór Techniczny (TDT) is an institution established to conduct activities ensuring the safety of operation of technical devices and fuel vapor recovery devices, as well as activities aimed at ensuring public safety in these areas. The main scope of TDT's activities includes the tasks of a technical supervision body defined in the Act on Technical Supervision. The TDT Laboratory in Krakow and the TDT Conformity Assessment Unit support statutory activities in the field of technical device operational safety. The TDT Conformity Assessment Unit includes a Certification Body, which certifies products, management systems, and people's competencies, as well as Notified Body 1468, which participates in conformity assessment processes of products with European Union directives, within the scope of its authorizations. Notified Body 1468 is one of the largest notified bodies in Europe. Statutory TDT activities in the field of safe operation of technical devices are also supported by TDT Academy – TDT Training and Consulting Center. Transportowy Dozór Techniczny has: 8 Regional Branches (in Warsaw, Lublin, Krakow, Katowice, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Poznan, Szczecin), 6 Inspector Teams (in Bialystok, Lodz, Kielce, Rzeszow, Bydgoszcz, Olsztyn), a Laboratory in Krakow and a Laboratory Branch in Warsaw.
